How early should we book our private wine tour?
We encourage you to book at least 2 - 3 weeks in advance (2 - 3 months is ideal), especially during peak season (March-November). While we often plan our tours months in advance, we will always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
Are tasting fees and lunch included?
Tasting fees are not included in the hourly rate and are paid directly to each winery. We don't charge for this in advance as most wineries waive tasting fees with a minimum purchase of wine (per person). Lunch is also not included in our rate, giving you complete freedom to order as you like at one of the many restaurants or gourmet markets that we include in your
experience.
Do you assist with the winery reservations, restaurants, etc?
Yes, we will handle all the planning and logistics from the time you arrive until we say goodbye. This includes scheduling wine tastings, restaurant reservations, airport transfers, balloon or bike rides - you name it. We're happy to make accommodation recommendations as well (hotel, resort, VRBO, B&B, etc) and have some wonderful private homes to share with you.
Can we use our own itinerary or request specific wineries ?
Yes, this is your day to enjoy as you would like it! Some groups have their own itinerary planned already (no concierge fee), others lean on us to organize everything, and often times we blend your winery picks with ours. While we would love to share the most authentic part of Napa with you (smaller, family owned wineries), we will always prioritize your requests and focus on what is most important to you, all the while giving you honest, local feedback to ensure you have a seamless visit from start to finish.
Do you provide multiple day tours?
Yes. Many of our guests (newbies, returning guests, collectors) often benefit from booking 2 to 3 wine tour days, allowing us to share different parts of the valley (or one day in Napa, the other in Sonoma) without being rushed or spending too much time in the vehicle. Please inquire about multiple day discounts.
Where do you provide pick up and drop off?
We can arrange to pick you up and drop you off at your preferred location, and we service the entire Bay Area. If coming from San Francisco, we encourage you to use the Vallejo Ferry (we can pick you up here) to avoid weekday traffic, and door to door service is always available.
